It is my contention that a decent completion percentage is an indication of a balanced attack even if it is not producing bone crushing yardage. If decent, it prevents opposing defenses from keying solely on the run.
An poor example might be Navy, besides Notre Dame they have not played the toughest schedule in the country either but can still only manage to complete about 48% of their passes.
UL is ranked 5th in the country and it looks like we will finish 6th since West Virginia has a game left and only needs 215 in their last game to move ahead.
