Besides the creepy desciption of the maturing process of 18-22 year olds (and some suggestion of racial differences)... I've never thought of kickers as having required anything other than "being able to kick". Kickers come in a variety of shapes and sizes (often times... no resemblance to the rest of the "football team"). If someone impresses the coach that he kicks the ball well... I don't care if he's still tethered to his mom by his umbilical cord.

All he is saying is that some people continue to mature physically past 18 while others do not. He has
noticed that people of a particular ethnic origin are likely to fall in one of the two groups. Therefore in
recruiting, you can make a guesstimate of whether that young man is likely to grow and gain weight
naturally. The conditioning drills are not considered here. If a guy is already impressive physically but
likely to naturally get stronger, you make him a higher priority on your recruiting board. That is my understanding of what Boomer was trying to say. Boomer, if I am not correct feel free to clarify.

So........from all this, can I assume that Alvarez will be the kickoff specialist on Saturday? Or is all of this just speculation?

Pretty sure everyone gets what he is trying to say, just giving him a hard time.
