Actually Cajunpride101, I have seen the inside of an LSU classroom. Seen one for four years, two advanced/graduate degrees and 78 credits of course/research work. I can not give you more because that might give up my identity and knowing how nasty you guys at ULL can be.Originally Posted by Cajunpride101
I hear a lot about moaning on ULL campus about how LSU gets the lions share of the state funds and how little ULL gets and this is not right. After seeing the way things are around ULL I think the problem is not how little money ULL gets but how much. There is rampant cronyism (as a LSU graduate I can't spell that word), nepotism, bureaucracy, red tapism that could put a third world country to shame.
The soundest decision that the government of Louisiana can make is to downgrade the University of Louisiana institutions to make them exclusively undergraduate degree granting institutions ( sort of like McNeese ) and move all the money for research, graduate and advanced professional work to LSU. Also to downgrade the athletic departments to division 2 status.
The money can be moved into LSU sports. That way the state of Louisiana will have one great university LSU in both athletics and academics. But most importantly the collosal wasteage of money, rampant misuse and abuse of state and federal tax dollars on ULL and other schools will stop.
