We are in better shape than we think

It is possible that we may not finish in the top 2 in the conference and still get the bowl invitation by default because we are bowl eligible and teams that may finish ahead of us in the conference standings may not be bowl eligible.

Teams such as WKU must still win 3/5 to become bowl eligible, NT must win 3/4 to become bowl eligible and we would hold a tie breaker in conference, ULM must win 4/5 to become bowl eligible, FIU must win 2/5 to become bowl eligble and we hold a tie breaker, MT must win 4/6, and Troy must win 4/6 to become bolw eligible and we hold tie breaker here also.

The way I see it and it is early, we are in good shape with one more win and 2 would about wrap this bowl thing up. If everyone else keeps knocking each other off each week they may not get bowl eligible eliminating themselves.

This week we are pulling for ULM to beat WKU, Troy to beat FIU, and Ark St. to beat NT.

This is a given: each win from here on out improves our chances and each week we are pulling for FAU and they cannot win the conference championship nor can they become bowl eligibe. FAU can at this point only play spoiler for any other team and improve UL's chances to make a bowl game.

Losing last week to WKU has really changed what can still happen in this conference, a win last week and I think we could have booked our rooms in New Orleans, now we still have to likely win one and see how it plays out, but I like or chances.

We need to go 2-2 at least, after starting 6-1 anything else would be a letdown. Sure 7 wins is more than people said we could get but when you start 6-1 you gotta find a way. Preseason predictions mean nothing now

All I care about at this point is getting into a bowl game and if that means just one more win than I will take it. I would prefer the New Orleans bowl also, but that may take at least 2 more wins or at least a win over ASU along with another ASU loss and hope WKU loses at least 2 more.

Come on BJ. These guys can win this thing. They had one bad outting & had all the calls & the breaks go against them also. Getting to seven wins...the Bustle Curse. I will believe it when I see it. We were world beaters until Saturday afternoon. Gotta get this monkey off our backs. Exercise those demons. It's gonna be tougher than we all expected it to be. But I believe we will end it this week. I like a 3 way tie...even if we aren't the beneficiary of the three way tie. Champ goes to Mobile, we go to New Orleans, third wheel hopes someone can't fill their bowl slots. Destroy the Bustle Curse, end the suffering, destroy the Blue Raiders!!!!
