WKU fans just rushed the field. Really??
I watched the entire game on RaginStation and just my opinion but Gautier and company tried to air it out WAY too much. We pretty much abandoned our run game early on and were just trying for the big play from the 2nd Qtr on.
Biggest turning point in the game was obviously the failed Lance Kelley interception. He tipped it up straight to the luckiest guy on the field standing in the right spot. That was 3rd Down and we would've gotten the ball back with at least a punt.
Our Defense lost this game by being very lazy all game... bottom line.
We lost and I'm ____ed, but I know HUD is ____ed even more and this loss could help get our heads straight and stop thinking about the NOLA Bowl before the season is even over. Coach will get this team's act together before next week and we'll be just fine.
GEAUX CAJUNS!
This is absolutely true. We had our chances and didn't capitalize, and Western just plain beat us.
That said, it was a little sad to see them storm the field. I know it's been a long time, but come on. You won a game, yes, but in the end, you didn't win anything beyond that today.
I'm frustrated as everyone is at this moment. We aren't a Boise State yet, guys. We are not going to blow the pants off everyone every week. With that said, there is no reason why we should have lost tonight. We got out-played and out-coached big time tonight. Also disagree with the 2-point conversion call with about 10 min to go. I think that changed the game late. If we kick extra point, then we kick field goal on our next possession and go down by 8. Instead we, remained down by 2 scores and could make things happen. Hud will have this team ready for next week.
You made my point. This is all Jay's fault. None of the blame goes to our players and coaches. They played an outstanding game and were physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually ready for WKU. The Hilltoppers were just lucky all afternoon. (As you can see, I've been down this road before. A proud UL graduate of 1973.)
I almost vomited.
This game was not a choke. It doesn't even fit the definition.
Football is a game of "Paper covers rock > Rock breaks scissors > Scissors cuts paper!
I was worried about this game all week. I thought UL looked good on paper, but their scissors could cut us and they could run the rock.
And that is exactly what happened. A lot of things went wrong but choke was not one of them.
