UL Football Re: UL-Ark St. In-Game

WE CAN'T CLOSE OUT A GAME IF THE COACHING STAFF CHANGES THE ENTIRE OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE PLAY CALLING WHEN WE GET A 14 POINT LEAD. WE PLAY TO LET THE OPPOSING TEAM CATCH UP. I REALLY LIKE COACH BUSTLE, BUT ITS TIME FOR HIM TO MAKE SOME CHANGES IF WE CONTINUE TO LOSE THE SAME WAYS WEEK AFTER WEEK.

DaddyCajun, I told you yesterday about the defense. I think the QB did well for being so young. Again what do I know I sit at a computer 14 hours a day instead of being on the football field. Well, at least it won't be long till Jay Walker is saying: "Dunk-You-Very-Much"

Bone head missed tackle end of first half.

Ruffing the passer in the 4th quarter, bone head aslo.

First team running back and QB also a difference.

DaddyCajun, STILL a Cajun Backer, I see improvement, not enough for some, but YOUNG TEAM + INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITY AND NEW AD(end of month) will = NEW ERA FOR LOUISIANA ATHLETICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am soo depressed right now. This is absolutely pathetic. I feel very bad for the players because I know they are battling their hearts out. I am not a Saints fan, but this is what they must feel like after years of losing.

Can we please start the baseball season now.

Sorry for the negative post. Maybe i'll feel different in the morning.

That makes 3 games in a row where we enter the 4th quarter tied or with the lead and lose. What gives with the poor 4th Q? Last time it was the defense played well for 3 quarters but the offense kept putting them back on the field. This week the offense controls the time of possession but the D still collapses in the 4th Q. I know the turnovers and bone-head penalties (not to mention 2 missed extra points!) were the the main reasons for our downfall. But somehow they have to learn to be mentally tougher to over-come the mistakes. Sounds a bit like conditioning may be a problem. When you're tired, you make more mistakes. I'm very disappointed, but at least the team keeps fighting and not giving up.

I think you hit one of the nails on the head in regard to conditioning, both physically and mentally.

Well, as tough as it is on us, the fans, you know its even tougher on those young men. Learning how to win, how to close out games, is the difference between 2-9, 3-8 type seasons and doing what we want.....win this conference and go to a bowl. It looks like we have the talent on offense to win; but we can't stop anyone down the stretch. Are we that thin on defense? I really don't know; but what I do know is that I'll continue to support this team. That's what alumni and real fans do. As long as they don't give up on themselves, I won't give up on them. In the disappointment immediately following the game I wonder if I'll make the drive to Lafayette; but the next morning I come to my senses and realize that I really need to.
So, see you guys at Homecoming.
    Shof
