Uh OH.....
Jay picked us.
Now i'm worried.
Ruh roh!!
Man I was really hoping after reading the piece and getting to the end I was going to see Jay's prediction and him taking the points.....and we know how that goes, but oh no, he pick us, now I'm scared!!
But we ain't the same Cajuns we've been watching since we were kids....this is the new ERA and win 7 will come tomorrow!!!
Whats jays record against the spread with us?
3 pts is too small a line to take the points and still pick us to win.
This team is still learning how to win, that is why they have struggled to put teams away when we should ie FAU and Nicholls. Winning breads more winning, if we execute in all three phases of the game and are even or plus 1 in the turnover ratio we will win by 17.
I was saying the same thing up until the last couple of games. We put Troy and NT away and didn't give either a chance in the 4th quarter and that made me happy. I think you are right and we are still learning how to truly win but I think we are getting better at executing in the second half.
Also, all of Jay's negatives about playing WKU stem from last year. They ran all over us, Jakes killed us, we turned the ball over but we have the same players as last year but are a different team. We got beat at the line of scrimmage and they just wanted it more than we did. I don't think there is any way they want it more than us this year and those seniors are ____ed about how we looked.
The cajuns are a better team this year. The intangilbes are there and the stats are there. We have more sacks this year up to now than we did all of last year and we're allowing fewer points and yards against (especially outside of the Ok. State game) than last year. We are more efficient and better in all parts of the game. Our running game has improved albeit its not great, it moves the chains. They teed off on Chris last year but Gautier is tougher in the pocket and he can run better. I just think we are a better team, and better yet, a more motivated team. We win, going away. I'm thinking 30-20 but I could easily see it going like it did last year but in our favor.
