Yes in August this new name of "Alfred and Helen Lamson Lady Cajun Softball Park", was asked to become the NEW name of Lady Cajun Park at the University of Louisiana System Board Meetings.

How did the vote turn out?

Have I missed somethng? Did Mr. Lamson leave an endowment to the Softball team or something? I know he was a great admirer of the team.

Not sure, if so it has been kept real quite. I surely hope so, Lady Cajun park could use an infusion of money. Not that it is lacking, just that they could play on a field that is worthy of the program. Would help with the recruiting also.

They name the softball field after a fan, however the all-time Sun Belt track coach Charles Lancon does not have the track facility named after him.
