This article is a very good read. It explains the reasons for a lot of the success the Cajuns have had on defense. This coahing staff & in particular the DC deserve a ton of credit for recognizing the talent that was left by the previous coaching staff then taking the freshmen recruits & mixing them in with the upper classmen. This has given UL a much deeper rotation defensively, which has allowed a lot of players to contribute to the team's success. Personally, I think Lance Kelly & Dwight "Bill" Bently are in competition with each other for SBC defensive player of the year.

It looks offensively as though the UL staff is doing the same thing at the skill positions. This is causing opposing DCs to not know who to key on from week to week. They can never guess who is going to step up each week & have a big game. I am looking for Alonzo Harris to step up this week & solidify himself as the freshman POY in the SBC. If our O. line can continue to improve the way they have since the beginning of the season, I truely believe that this team will go to ASU 9-1. This could set up the biggest conference championship game in the history of the conference. I have to admit that every week I see the Cajuns win I am pulling for ASU to win also. A championship game with a 9 win UL & an 8 win ASU would be a great game for the networks to show.

I agree Kyle, a new player coming up HUGE each week has to be driving opposing defensive coordinators crazy.
