I have spoken to people on both the Sugar and NO bowls in the past----It is a huge money maker for the Sugar Bowl and the NO bowl wants to 'Make Money"---Now the TV deal and the rest that go with it are done deals---The money revenue comes from butts in the seats and what they buy----All the businesses that support the Bowl are in it for one reason --Make money---Hotels, bars, restaurants, souvenir shops, and the like-----One even told me how bad they want UL---I really believe that if there is ANYWAY to possibly get UL---they will do it----Now would they offer Tech if USM doesn't take the slot???? Remember the first part of the post--$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I think you have the letters in the wrong configuration, it should be s m u and not u s m.

That may be due to his weakness as a negotiator or because he really doesn't like us, I don't know. I just feel that if he is given any ammunition to argue against us, he will use it.
Additionally, I have not seen anything, either from the Sun Belt by-laws or the New Orleans Bowl guidelines, that gives any certainty that they have to take us under any set of circumstances. I'm not even seeing that they have to take us even if we are the outright conference champion, other than the statement that they have to take the conference champion 2 out of every 4 years. I realize and accept that the New Orleans Bowl wants us. I agree it makes total sense for them to take us. I can see everything working in our favor to go. But until such time as an official announcement is made, I refuse to get my hopes up.
    Again just completely incorrect

By all means, give me any example of the NO Bowl passing us up. Ever.

Independence Bowl, yep, but we know the circumstances of that were different.

If the NO Bowl wants to make money, at all, then we will be chosen. The bowl officials have told many people, not just in this administration, just how much they want us. It.is. Done.

In all of your comments, you have yet to bring up a logical or valid point. You resort to, what boils down to, wild conspiracy and inaccurate recollections of the past.

What more needs to be explained to get it through. I'd understand these concerns if we're at 6 wins and the NO Bowl had passed us up ever. This is our bowl. Not WKU, not ASU, not FIU. Give any valid reason why those teams would get picked to go to a bowl less than 200 miles from the highest attendance team, by a good bit, in the conference.

I have my reservations made so whether it is the NO Bowl or the Sugar Bowl I'll be there!!

I think the part that people miss when they refer to our history (6-6,6-5, no bid from NO Bowl or anyone else) is that the tie-ins and circumstances have changed. In past scenarios, the NO Bowl had to accomodate the champ, because other tie ins were weak. Now we have a solid tie in with Go Daddy.

Reread my post. I'm not trying to get you to think what I do. You can believe whatever you want. I will believe when the invitation is made official, not before.

I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. If you have a point to make to me, please be clearer.
