    UL Football football program

those of you who know me, know i want to win more than one can imagine, i'm disappointed and i feel bad for the kids, but one thing i will never do and that is K I C K this team or any other of our teams when they are down and hurting, and those of you who call yourself fans simply don't have a clue, but you do have the right to express your (whatever). to me this a time when this team needs support more than ever and trust me.... they have it from me and i will continue to give it, it's like this, our quarterback goes down and a freshman is trying his best, i tell you if babb don't go down we are not having these bad times. but go ahead and step on these kids while they lay struggling to get up, be sure you squeeze every ounce of life from them, i'm a true cajun fan and supporter no matter what, i've been thru all of it,i have and will stay loyal to this team/s and university, how easy we forget other times and struggles and have come thru it, i will forever be a true cajun fan no matter what, this is who i am.

good post , I hear ya on that old man. Its hard to win when you dont have the right coaches to put you into a winning situation , and i dont care how much talent you have.

I was born a cajun fan, and will always be one. It is not the players I wish to put down. In fact, the talent level is much better than it has been in years. It is the coaching staff I have a gripe with. They seem to be holding our players back. They seem to be poised, ready for their coaches to inspire them and give direction, but instead they get confusion and no confidence. DEFENSE! We need defense to have a chance to win. Our playbook, if we have one needs to be reexamined. Leadership starts at the top, and right now I just don't see it from our staff. But I'm just a fan who goes to every game, what do I know.

I'm not here to knock the team or anyone else on this board. Last night I was actually sober at the game and sat through the entire game. I watched the sideline and one thing I noticed is that there was no excitement when we were fell behind. I dont know if its the coaches or players but any team needs excitement if they are going to win. The school I attended before UL has a long tradition of winning without the best talent. The reason we won is because we played with emotion. On the sideline last night there were a few groups of players just having conversations and not even paying attention to the game. If the guys want to win they need to play with much more emotion. Just look at any other team saturday on TV, whether its Texas, LSU, Ohio State, or the mid-major schools, and you will notice the team that is winning will show more emotion on their sideline than the other team.
