Thread: UL (30) vs. UNT (10) FINAL

It looks like we'll go into the half up 13-10. It hasn't been pretty by any means, but we still have the lead. I guess I'll take it.

If we're gunna praise HUD for good things, we have to call him out on bad things. This has not been his best game. You go for it at your own 25 with 10 min left in the 2nd quarter but not at the 50 with a min left?

Yeah, your right, not pretty, but I'll take the half time lead.

I can think of several reasons to go for it and several not to.

Short yardage from the 25 and long yardage from near the 50 is reason not to.

Time management at the end of the half wasn't the best.

4th and 2 from the 25, 4th and 4 from the 50. The only time you go for it from your own 25 is if you're desperate or down late in a game. There was ZERO reason to risk that there. Sure the offense is sputtering, but if NT scores 7 there, you're talking about putting your offense under serious pressure. There is no way to disguise the fact that the was a horrible decision.

Agree. I didn't mind punting it at the end of the second half. But the 4th down call from the 25 was crazy.

He went for it deep because when he did it earlier in the year . . . it worked. It didn't work today for the same reason.

In fairness were a victim of a massively bad spot. From my spot on the 30 he made the 1st down.

The Cajuns are uncharacteristically losing the kicking game battle so far tonight.

    Nice stop by the D

eeww great punt by UNT coupled with a penalty.

Cajuns will have their work cut out starting from their own 7
