Given the incident in recent memory from our basketball program, I'm not exactly sure that we should be clowning people with resume issues.

He has an accurate resume when he applied at UCF. He was qualified. He was hired.

I'm not sure what your point is. Our graduation rates are up, our players are in the best shape ever, and he's motivated an intense capital development campaign that includes a now completed indoor practice facility and an on campus stadium to open in 2007. With recruiting sandals and PROP 48 problems all over the country - I'll forgive a resume mistake from TWENTY YEARS AGO over a dirty program anyday.

I'd say it was the right hire.

St. for years, and then fired him less then three months later when the it was evident that he had lied. He never coached the team, and he recruited for 1 month, that's it!

Yes, the difference is that ULL had to fire their coach because he lied on his resume that he submitted to ULL.

UCF would have done the same thing if O'Learys resume wasn't accurate when he applied.
