It's unlikely but what are the chances of Hud being one and done here? I point to Ball State under Brady Hoke had one really impressive year...San Diego State comes calling...Ball State is now putrid again. I don't want that to happen here. It's inevitable in college football that coaches at the bottom will not think twice about moving onward and upwards. If anyone can reassure me that I am totally insane and this is not something to worry about...please do.

Cristobal at FIU is still there and he practically created life from inanimate mud.

It will take more than one year to convince an SEC school. I'm more worried about a few years from now if Miss St. slides and we go to and win a few bowls....

Please miss problem is the ad not so much the coach. Also it hasn't been that long since old miss fired their last coach and I really don't think their alum want to buy out another conyract

All of this is a great big bunch of "meh".

If or when we ever lose Hud to the big boys, I have faith that the process that brought him here will be the same process to bring us a more than suitable replacement.

When Bobby Bowden started at FSU it was a putrid program with a history of losing. He saw it all the way through to multiple national championships. I hope and pray that Hud wants the same thing and that we are somehow able to find the means to keep him on board...as difficult as that may be.

Now here is a bit of sanity in an unsane thread with a bit of well guided optimism.

Gentlemen and ladies, please read and reread that, then prepare to support your program ... everything we want is right in front of us; and I truly believe we have all the tools available to succeed!

Something tells me our AD and Pres. have already discussed this. I would like to think that they would be prepared to make Hud an offer to keep him here.

Let's just take a glance at some numbers.

With an avg attendance that should be about 5K more than normal at the very least, that is $400,000 in extra revenues.
If every extra person at these games spends an avg of $5 on concessions per game, your looking at $125,000 dollars in added revenue.

Perhaps a total of $525,000 extra that can be credited directly to coach Hudspeth and what he has brought thus far. I think my numbers are extremely on the conservative side so I don't see why we couldn't increase his salary to around $750,000. That's what we will need to do if we want to keep this train rolling.
