LOUISIANA La. - Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball team will hold its annual golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 19. The proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit the baseball team for the upcoming 2006 season.

The 2005 Ragin' Cajuns Baseball Golf Tournament will be held at the Le Triomphe Country Club in Lafayette. The tournament format will be a four-man scramble with a morning and afternoon shotgun start.

There are still spots available for the tournament and interested parties will be allowed to register on the day of competition.

The morning session will begin with a 7:00 a.m. registration with the shotgun start set to begin at 8:00 a.m. Awards will be given out between the morning and afternoon sessions.

In the afternoon, registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the shotgun start set to begin at 1:30 p.m. Awards will be given out after the completion of play.

Prizes will be awarded for closest to the hole on par-3's and also the top three teams in both shotguns will receive prizes. Door prizes will also be given out for both shotguns.

Each golfer will receive green and cart fee, tournament golf shirt, hat and long sleeve shirt along with food and beverages.
