When Tech and their all-american Mike Green came to town it was standing room only and close to 8,000. I drug my brother, who hated sports, to one of those and even he said it was the loudest noise he had ever heard in his life.

Curry Kirkpatrick, one of SI's top writers always had great comments about the atmosphere in Blackham.

Been awhile since I have sat in the stands of Blackham for a ball game. I have watched a friends child do 4-H events in there in the last year, but din't pay attention to something that is important to a friend of ours.
As far as ADA/handicapped regulations are concerned, where is the access?

I can't remember any ramps that go up to the stands- only steps. Does anyone know for sure?

Not for sure, but they will either set something up on the sideline or have one of those staircrawlers or elevators that pull themselves up via the handrail. They've done so much to the inside of Blackham... if you haven' seen it yet this season, you're in for a treat.

Well, you'd be surprised at the places in this town that aren' technically ADA compliant.

No doubt, some places are grandfathered in, I guess...?

New construction, etc. especially high profile like Blackham is fixing to be...I would be very, very surprised if it isnt compliant...

I remember the double-OT thrilla against Tech with Karl Malone. It was so loud I bet even the holy water at Fatima rippled.

If I recall there is more than enough floor space for wheelchairs and handicap scooters.

I noticed at "Yell Like Hell" that there was a handicapped elevator near one of the large tunnels that goes from the ground level to the walkway in the stands.
