I well remember the "good old days" I had retired from the USAF and decided to get season tickets, how that came about is another story. Anyway, there were boisterous crowds, the Red Dots were in existence, and the students were breathing down on the oppositions bench. The Marquette coach swore and be damned if he would ever, ever come back to Blackham.
Once the move was made the "atmosphere" was lost. It seemed like we were supposed to act in a manner befitting of the Cajn Dome's sterility. Anytime the subject of a game being played in Blackham was broached, the higher ups acted as though to do so was demeaning.
I for one am in favor of one game per season being played in Blackham. Maybe, just maybe, we would once again learn how to "raise the roof". Not just when something good happens, but through out the game.
I intend to broach the subject to the higher ups. I will probably get the look of "have you lost your mind"!!
