So true Zee....I can remember sitting there when it was raining outside, wishing I had an umbrella inside. Can't remember giving up my season tickets!!Originally posted by Zeebart21

By the way great game last night for the football team, next weeks game will tell if they turned the corner.
Last night a friend at the game told me UL would definitely be using Blackham Coliseum at least for the start of the season. He said the Cajundome was going to be the nations last major refugee center after all the others were fazed out by FEMA. Blackham would get improvements to the building and some other stuff, possibly a new floor when they move back to the Cajundome. I think this would be a good move and here is why, it will give us a second chance to move from Blackham to the Cajundome and this time with no controversy. Oldtimers like my dad would come back to some games, and down the road Blackham would be for the team a practice arena that they feel at home in.
I heard the same thing...I am pumped!
i am UBER pumped about the Blackham situation.
GO CAJUNS!!!!!!!
We need to pack people to the rafters for all home game at the Blackham. I cant wait to hear a crowd of 6000+ in a small arena like the Blackham. I think we can be louder than the Cameron Crazies!
I CANT WAIT! GEAUX CAJUNS!
Seeing a UL Basketball game in Blackham has always been a dream of mine!!!!!!!!
It would be a huge treat!!!!!!! I wouldn't miss it for the world!!!!!!!!
I hope they decide to wear vintage USL jerseys with those red and white striped warm-ups!!!!!!!!
Oh man I'm so excited I can't control the absurd number of exclamation marks I am putting in my post!!!!!!!!!
BTW, what controversy was there in moving to the Cajundome?

Goofball comment! Are you going by looks? Because last month it was good enough for Ronnie Milsap to sell out a concertOriginally Posted by cajunfan96
Milsap. I do not want us to spend money on this facility when the cajundome, one of the top rated venues in the country, could use the money for improvements. Now, if money comes in that can only be spent on blackham, then go for it. Also, i am worried about the perception on potential recruits. I want the best for ULOriginally Posted by 1stTake
I too do not really understand the love affair some have with Blackham. I have only been I there once ten years ago when there was an open practice. The place was a dump back then and I can't imagine how it looks (or smells) now. I guess as humans we all get nostalgic. But it's the future of cajun ball that gets me pumped not the past. I would like to see the temporary seating in the Cajundome replaced with something more permenant looking. But that's just my opinion.
if we do use blackham, how many can it seat? i don't remember it being very large. We students may have to come a few hours early just to get a spot. Definately will be the loudest arena in the nation.
