Mistakes are lack of focus. Not throughout the game by all-just on plays here and there by individual players. Guys started to press a little after we were down 14 to 0 and that just causes more mistakes.
Special teams will be concentrated on significantly in practice this week.-No big surprise there
QB play is good enough to win.
Both Newman and Leger may play this week on the OL.
Rubin and Fenroy are about even at RB. He is real pleased with these guys as both are freshman. Fenroy does well in pass protection.
At fullback, Booker Jenkins has not played to the level we hoped. Abdul Levier may play some at fullback this week.
Robinson has moved from flanker to split end (maybe it's the other way around). Regardless, the move was made as a result of Sampy returning and was positive.
The DL has played well in games 1 and 2. The LB's need to play better. Hall Davis is a young guy who bothched an option play by handling both the QB and pitch guy. Unusual for that to occur.
Coach challenged the team to perform at a higher standard. He told them it's up to them. Coaches can't do it for them.
Practice has to be more focused. Game can't become more important for them on Saturday. It has to be important starting on Tuesday, when they begin to prepare. If you focus more in practice, you will focus more in games and mistakes will be minimized. If players buy into that, we may turn it around.
There were three or four callers (including California Cajun) with a similar message-We are all dissapointed but still supporting the program. I think Coach appreciated hearing that.
