Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns football team held its final home-field practice of the week Thursday afternoon, but home will be a familiar place for the squad for the next five weeks.

After Saturday's contest at Eastern Michigan, the Cajuns (0-1) won't go back on the road until Thursday, Oct. 13, when they play their first Sun Belt Conference road game at Arkansas State.

Three straight home games follow the 5 p.m. (CDT) Saturday contest at EMU's Rynearson Stadium, and the Cajuns would like nothing better than to go into that homestand with a .500 record.

"We think we can do that," said quarterback Jerry Babb. "We saw what we needed to improve, and all we have to do is cut down on the mistakes."

The Cajuns depart for Ypsilanti, Mich., today at 11 a.m. and will hold a walk-through practice at 3:45 p.m. today, after the squad worked for just over 90 minutes in Thursday's tune-up.
