Gazette Sat. Nov. 24, 1906 BASKET BALL On Thursday afternoon, Nov. 22, occurred the first basketball game of the season between the "Beverly Randolph" and the "Dorothy Davis" teams. And the occasion was noteworthy not only because of the fine game the girls played, but because of the example in school spirit which they exhibited to the entire student body. Streamers of red or of blue marked the adherents of the opposing sides all day long, and just before the game the basketball court rang...
...the game was close thru both halves but just before time was called the "Dorothy Davis" team captained by Miss Lillian Guilbeau, threw a basket from the field which won the day for the blue.
