They have a big game in Columbus, OH next week. And with their #2 ranking they might have swollen heads. They still have to play us first and maybe we can catch them at the right time. It would be a great moral booster to see the Cajuns play with passion and leave it all on the field. It also is a great chance to show the rest the world that these kids from Louisiana have heart and aren't anything like the thugs they see on tv.

PS A friend of mine from New Orleans ask us to take her to the Airport yesterday. We get there around the same time the team is boarding their charter. As we are saying goodbye to her my 3 year old goes straight for the line with team. 15 years to early but he puts a big smile on my face.

As much as I would like to say we win...I can't. Texas 49 UL 13. I can see us moving the ball efficiently on them but in the end it not showing on the scoreboard. Vince Young will probably be out by the half to see what the younger guys can do.

Not to be a downer, because I think we'll go out there and give Texas a little more than they bargained for, but I saw a disturbing stat last night...over the past four home season openers, Texas is 4-0 and has outscored the opposition something in the neighborhood of 275-30. Here's hoping we can end the streak at 4. I'd love to be able to rub it in a couple of friends' and professors' faces that have attended UT.

I'm guessing you and I read the same thing; the last four openers were against Sun Belt teams...
