Texas Game Discussion

With the first game of the season only a short time away, it seems there has been very little discussion about it. So lets do just that.

What are our expectations for this game? Keep it within 20 points? 30?

Personally, I think something in the neighborhood of 48-17 would be somewhat in the respectable range. That being said, I also don't think it would be out of the range of possibilities to keep it much much closer than that. Any thoughts?

Texas is sooooo good this year. This UL team could beat the 2000 texas team but will lose Saturday 53 to 17

They have a big game in Columbus, OH next week. And with their #2 ranking they might have swollen heads. They still have to play us first and maybe we can catch them at the right time. It would be a great moral booster to see the Cajuns play with passion and leave it all on the field. It also is a great chance to show the rest the world that these kids from Louisiana have heart and aren't anything like the thugs they see on tv.

PS A friend of mine from New Orleans ask us to take her to the Airport yesterday. We get there around the same time the team is boarding their charter. As we are saying goodbye to her my 3 year old goes straight for the line with team. 15 years to early but he puts a big smile on my face.

As much as I would like to say we win...I can't. Texas 49 UL 13. I can see us moving the ball efficiently on them but in the end it not showing on the scoreboard. Vince Young will probably be out by the half to see what the younger guys can do.
