Talent for talent neither team has much of an edge. If UL wins the turnover battle they get the win. If not, who knows!
No FAUx-PAS
I'm with Hammer58
I don't think it's a big silly question, but it is....if we were to win out, not impossible, but if we did, I sure would expect to be in the top 20. We would be 11-1. We are so far from that, but it's fun as a fan, to think about. Nothing wrong with that. Now as a player and a coach, they better be laser focused on the only game that matters, FAU!
We lose HUD!!!!
That "I'm deathly afraid" chant didn't do ______ for us last year, let's go out and stomp on their throats...what was hawk? Sweep the leg, no mercy??
OK, to play along, yes we would be in the top 25 to go 11-1, win conference and play in a nice mid tier bowl game, especially since that would mean we beat Arizona which is a BCS mid level team at their place. Now, back to reality is that we are not good enough defensively to have big letdowns and our offense has shown up for 1 game albeit an important game this year. We still have a ton of improvement to do and consistency to gain so lets just pucker up our rears and hope we get through FAU before we start talking about rankings and bowls. Oh yeah, in case we forgot, we still have to play Troy the week after as well as MT and Ark. State amongst others. I would love to be able to win a few running away so we could play some younger guys and get much needed experience but I still haven't seen that ability to finish our opponents so I figure that every victory (hopefully there's many) will come with a defibrillator and vallium.
Even if we don't run the table, even if we just finish in the neighborhood of 8-4, watch out. Hud is from Mississippi and chances are that Ole Miss will be looking for a new coach in the offseason, so if he is successful here (Very successful at a program people said no one could win at), Ole Miss might be willing to throw some big bucks his way.
