Thread: Do you think it could happen?

Ragin' Cajuns Do you think it could happen?

If Acadiana houses refugees (especially in the Cajundome) for a few weeks, do you think that the Athletic Department will let these people come to our first home game for free? If I was stuck in a different place with no home, etc., I would love to do that. We could call it Operation Kickoff or something like that. I'd even buy a couple of extra tickets for someone (refugees of course) to get their mind off of this unfortunate tragedy. Just a heartful thought.

Can they give out that many comp tickets. I thought all comp tickets had to come out of some budget. If so, not free, maybe $2.00 /ticket on students side.

It would surely help our attendance figures; just make sure they are Cajun fans.

They are offering "freebies" here in houston for hurricane victims. Astros games, Moody Gardens, the Aquarium, etc...

I'm sure there is a business in Lafayette that would be happy to sponsor tickets for these unfortunate Lousianians.

My understanding here regarding the Astros are not "freebies" but 1/2 price tickets is what I heard on the news & radio. As for Moody Gardens & Aquarium, etc... I have not heard that news. Also, many resturants are offering discounts for dining for victims if they have a valid ID.

My family & I travelled from our initial refuge in Jackson, MS to Houston (Katy actually), TX yesterday. We live in Mandeville and won't be able to go back for a week or 2. On the Sam Houston Tollway, one of the attendants asked if we were from Louisiana. When I said "yes", she waved us through without having to pay the toll. It was a small thing ($1.25), but it meant a lot emotionally. We also passed an Outback steakhouse in north Houston on FM 1960 which had a sign saying "Louisiana, we're with you!" Hope all of the "displaced" are well. Thanks to all for the help and well wishes. Do whatever you can to help those truly needy folks from New Orleans and the MS Gulf Coast.

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Houston (Rice Village) last night, showed a Louisiana I.D., and received a 20% discount.
