Richardson, Lanaux, Fails, and Gilles are not on the team, or so I've been told.

Wasn't Nelson the DE from Florida we had high hopes for? Unfortunate he is not here. Anyone know why?

 Dumb question: Does Deon Wallace (along with the other listed players) have "no number" because he's being red-shirted??

JMO but I really doubt Deon Wallace will be redshirted. I always prefer to see as many players as possible in freshman classes redshirted but some will not be because they are too talented to keep off the field.

Unless he's going to get significant playing time, with the depth at running back, although the talent level is average, he very well may be redshirted. So far, the two young backs, Levier & Fenroy have outperformed him. He isn't as physical as these two & a year of training should get him ready to compete for 4 years. I know he has talent & speed, but just a few plays a game is really a waste.

    Deon Wallace is No. 6.

The roster posted earlier was prepared prior to all the new guys getting their nos.

Wallace has been wearing 6 since day 1

    Fenroy 8 . . .

But as far as I can tell they are tentative numbers till the season starts.

NOT PHSICAL---Did you see when he refused to go down with about 6 guys on him and then after the play went and picked up his helmet--I disagree and think he is our best running back!!!

I admit i did not see the specific play to which you are referrring, just going by previous reports & observations. My question would be "who were the 6 attempting to bring him down?" If he's the best, he should play, although I've not seen this from this staff in a number of positions.

why is it that every year we seem to loose a handfull of players, sometimes signifigant players (DE Nelson this year, SS Prather last year) and no one seems to hear about the what, when, why, etc.? Just curious. It also seems like we recruits every year that commit and then never make it to UL or do and then leave with no one knowing much about it? LAst year we lost that TE Briggs and this year Lanaux, Robinson, etc. aren't here. What gives?
