In my opinion Jer was the best ever at the play action fake hand off and Mike was just as good.
The two should start a school.

Ram1fan needs to tone down the rhetoric a little. Most people on here are extremely fair-minded, and he keeps insinuating otherwise. He's an over the top Blaine fan and that is massively acceptable. But, he attacks people that honestly evaluate what they see. That is not good PR for Blaine. If he cares about Blaine he needs to lighten up. Blaine is winning the job on his own. We are insignificant observers... and that includes me and Ram1fan.
bad PR?? I don't think this guy represents Blaine on a personal level to consider it "Public Relations" unless you are saying PR stands for something else, I think your use of the term is a bit out of context
In other words I think PR is more related to hired organizations or people to represent a person or business in a positive manner rather than the personal views on individual fans.
Just to show you how far off your opinion is on the race card, there are people on the forum calling for Broadway... So I wouldvebeen way off to think that it was racial.. I never said nor insinuated that... So to settle things out I'll just say that you misinterpreted what I meant .....
I noticed Blaine didn't rifle his short passes like he did against OSU.
In my opinion that contributed to his 75% completion rate.
In order for UL to take the program to the next level, everyone including the fans will have to change how you make assessments of players. Your emotions have no place in your decision making as to who should be playing/starting regardless if you support Gautier, Mason or Maguire. You must deal with the actual facts. There is no need to interpret anything. Just look at the stats. The eyeball test should not apply here. Emotions must be kept out of this.
Now some facts: Maguire is 1-2 as a starter (so much for "all he does is wins"). He was independently evaluated by 2 different coaching staffs and not only was he not made the QB starter, his position was changed completely. He is a good player and a good kid but he is not starting QB material based on your last and present coach. Mason coming into the season was the starter in my mind because in my experience having played on that level it is very hard to "dethhrone" the returning starting QB with only practice to use as the evaluation tool. Any player can tell you practice is a lot slower than the actual game. Anyway, what are the Mason stats. He is 11-12 over the last 3 seasons as starter. His passer efficiency rating has gone from 118 (2009) to 116 (2010) to 67 presently with the 2 games he started against very weak competition (Kent State - last in the Mid-American conference and Nicholls State - a middle to lower tier FBS school. Finally Gautier: College sports is like what Janet Jackson said, "What have you done for me lately"". This season Gautier has a passer efficiency rating of 116 so far and has the only passing TD so far this season. He is 3rd on the team in rushing. This was done with only playing about 4 1/2 quarters of football this season (taken off of the UL website where stats are located) with 3 of those quarters coming against the then 9th ranked team in America.
Sorry to be so long but I want to see UL get it to the next level. If you evaluate your program like it is done at winning programs, you would conclude that the QB question has been answered. Gautier should be made the starter and everyone should get behind him. Remember, Mason started for two seasons not Gautier so he will definitely hit a rough patch. It happens to all of us. Get behind him an "Geaux Cajuns",
I want the QB that gets the job done. When Blaine struggled to move the team at OSU I was one calling for Hud to make the switch to Masson in the hope that his different style and perhaps his experience could make a difference. Likewise when Masson seemed to struggle at Kent State I was all or making the switch to Blaine much earlier than he did. And his week when it was obvious early that Masson was regressing as the game went on, like everyone else in the stands I was calling for Blaine. And had he struggled I would have called for Brad (I disagree with your pure statistical analysis, CR, as it leaves out the intangible factor that Brad brings to the game) to see if he could get the job done. The bottom line is that we want the QB who can lead this team to victory and to suggest that there are other motivations is scurrilous.
Yes... I meant "public relations". We are "the public"... and as this gentleman has proven over and over and over again... he is a very vocal Blaine fan. He was "relating" for Blaine when the majority of this forum hadn't even seen him on the field of play. He was claiming Bustle wasn't giving Blaine a fair chance against Brad and Chris, and that Blaine was kicking their butts in practice... and that he couldn't figure out "what reason" Blaine wasn't getting the nod. If you've been paying attention... as I do... you would know that this person "ram1fan" almost entirely posts on Blaine. Unlike me and others... he doesn't chime in on virtually any other UL content... he pitches for Blaine. More power to him. Whether he is acting in an official public relations role is irrelevant. He is attempting to persuade people on this forum to change their opinion of Blaine's level of play. I think he should keep doing so, but leave out the accusations of bias.
I do not want Blaine to take hits on this forum because of an overzealous ram1fan. Just like "moms" have been warned... by their sons... not to pitch on here for "their little boy"... for the sake of bad "public relations"... I feel likewise for Blaine and ram1fan.
Ram1fan is being a fine Blaine proponent at times... but like I said... he has singled out people on here that disagree with him on Blaine... when there were still plenty of reasons to keep the QB debate alive... and that is not good for Blaine. Blaine is getting a very fair chance and doing well enough on his own right now... without ram1fan's assistance.
Oh, and your limited understanding of the term "public relations" does not constitute an out of context post on my behalf.
