Yes. Yes. and Yes to all three questions. (I believe)
I was in Kent, OH last weekend and Dean, who played like an animal possessed, carried out the Hammer and carried it off the field.
The players met at in the middle of the playing field after the game, and knelt down to pray. (I also thanked God for the victory)
After their prayer, the players came players came to the sidelines to greet and thank the small number of Cajun fans who made the trip to Kent State. Their words, "thank you very much for the support". They were a very happy group!!
I don't see that happening much either. We haven't shown it at all this season thus far and I don't think that Hud will break out different sets with FIU up next week. I'd love to see it but I can't imagine we will unless you know something we don't??
I'm glad the players will wear some professional threads for the walk. I'm a big believer in looking the part and acting big time as Hud puts it. I hope the walk is still through Reinhardt as the kids love making it over to greet the players. I look forward to it.
I just can't wait till kickoff!...This is gonna be some fun...can't stop looking at Ragin Pagin!
No more frickin SKY KICKS !!!
What's different? I just woke up at Cajun Field. The air smells different, my nerves feel different, the stadium looks different...and I guarantee that tonight's RESULTS will be different!
Life as a Ragin Cajun is good!!
The lack of Rap Music played over the PA was great. They actually played some ZZ Top and Doobie Brothers during the game.
The security people with yellow shirts were apparent throughout the stadium along with plenty of University police, city police and sheriff deputies. That was good to see.
They STILL do not know how the handle a large group of people wanting to enter the stadium through the press box gates. I left my tailgate area at 5:30 and they had people lined up all the way to the access road from the gates. (I walked around the stadium and entered on the student side). I got in for the Bands pregame show.
The upper deck was about 80% full, the lower level about the same. The end zone grass had a decent crowd and the student side was well represented. I guess there were at about 30,000 people there tonight.
