what are your expectations for this week's game (besides a W)?

Yeah, Boom, I think this will be a tougher game than most are expecting. If for no other reason than it is an in-state school, kinda like McNeese or Southeastern. They will be geeked to try to "show us" that we're not all that. On paper, this should be a definite win for us, but as we all know, ya gotta play the game on the field, not on paper! I still think we will prevail and maybe get a little cushion late. It would be very helpful if we could jump on them early, but that is easier said than done.

Bull, if we don't win this game by 4 TDs I'll be seriously disappointed. I don't give a rats ass about our record last year, NSU got pounded by W Mich and we are better than those clowns.

I want HUD to run the score up, and make a statement to all of Louisiana. That we are not the same program and we will lay claim to number two in the state without any real challengers!

Nicholls won their first game against Evangel (not the high school, I already double checked that) by 42-0. That school is a NAIA school. Then they got blown out by Western Michigan which lost 34-10 to Michigan (game was called w/ 1:40 left in 3rd quarter) and could have been a bigger blow out if they played 4 quarters.

So what do I expect knowing Nicholls past competition this year?

I expect a big win, I expect the defensive to continue to play at the level they have been and not play down to the competition as we have seen in the past, I expect the offensive to move the ball better this weeka and gain some confidence. I expect us to take that confidence to FIU next week and put Ty Hilton and that whole team on it's behinds and come home with another big road win, and being that much closer to a bowl game / confence championship!!!

Listening to HUD at the qb club yesterday, you'd swear Nicholls is the second coming of LSU. Good coach...keeping the players and fans grounded in reality...
