Defense looked really sharp today...seemed to dominate during team drillls. The "D" linemen appeared to be moving in a different gear than the Offensive front. Wideouts appear to be very inconsistant...A lot of droped balls! No one really stood out to me....Number "84" showed some good signs however.

Our CB's seem to be the strength of our Defense again. Linebackers looked very athletic in comparison to last year...IMO

Regarding the running backs in our freshman class, number "8" Fenroy?? appears to be the only one who may actually push for some playing time this year....He is very muscular,as well as a quick...hard runner! Very impressed!

Does anyone know who the player sporting #10 on defense is?....Middle linebacker maybe.... He has a new fan!

Babb still appears to lack touch on the deep routes, "Des" wasn't much better....However, #3 was on point often...with very nice ball control! IMO of course....

The offense is always going to be behind the defense because there is so much more to learn so I expect that the offense will get better everyday they are out there.

    I think # 10 is Mack Fair LB-DE.

With all the returning starters that we have on Offense...learning should not be a detriment at this point...Hell, we boast a veteran "O" line. We should be witnessing more of a "balance" regarding competition during first team match-ups....shifting in the favor the Offense and vice versa...NEVER a steady dose of prolonged domination by either side!

I know it's early, but like I stated earlier...True colors will emerge once the pads are put on...

Team drills appeared to run smoother today....Defense continues to look great...Still practicing at a high Tempo...Wideouts seemed to show improvement, not as many dropped balls. Freshman D. Wallace showed flashes of his potential...displayed more confidence today! During team drills, Wallace ran a sweep, which was botched, and reversed field gaining about 20 yards before the Defense was able to catch up with him on pursuit....

Some of the players that stood out today on Offense were #4, 5, 6 and 84...On Defense, #11 and the entire first and second group of Corners. Unsure if it's just conditioning, but the "O" line continues to be dominated by the "D" front...Gave up quite a few sacks and stops in the back field...

Can't wait until the bullets fly!

D-line dominating the O-line is not good, but might not be the worst thing.

Hopefully, it means that the D-line is improved. That would be VERY good news.

Maybe, it has something to do with the fact that 3 of the 5 O-lineman are playing positions they haven't played before, and Chance is a first-time starter. The only constant from last year's O-line is Ernest at RT.

Could be just "working out the kinks", "getting in rhythm", "on the same page" type situation.

Chery looked very smooth today at the wideout spot. He put some moves on a Dback that froze him in his tracks. Deon Wallace and Fenroy looked very good today also as did Caleb Rubin and the entire RB corp. We are young at wideout, but we have some really quick young recievers.

From what I witnessed, It could hardly be called dominance when the RB's broke off at least seven runs into the secondary. I would say at this point into fall practice, the middle of the DL is still a weak position.

    Catch of the Day

Take my word for it, the arm you can't see was busy catching the ball.
