I drove to Ruston for that game (my cousin was Offensive Coordinator for LA Tech back then and got a tour of Tech's facilities). Bo had 51 points and I seem to remember him coming out of the game with about 3 minutes to go and throwing out his multiple wrist bands that he wore to the fans. We had some GREAT games with LA Tech back then. The USL v. LA Tech games were the best. Remember particularly the games when Mike Green was playing in a packed Blackham. We, as students, got to Blackham a couple of hours before each game to get our seats. It was magical back then.

My older bother Bobby got to see him unload against UD (Univ of Dayton, Ohio) I think his junior year, he scored something like 42 pts and lived up to all the billing SI was giving him that year...it could have been his senior year...throwing up 30 foot rainbows at will...I did not get to go, I just heard of his remarkable feats...we wanted to watch one of our hometown heros....Steve Green (of Fairborn H.S. fame) who fed the ball to Lamar at USL
