We all know what some don't know. That guy could shoot the rock.
From the time he got past half court he was looking for a shot. I remember a number of shots from the old coaching box line that they used to put along the sideline past half court.
Back then there was no internet and few TV games that he would have been seen in. Besides, most of those who participated in putting together that list may not have been born when he played.

Bo Lamar was named to the all tournament team.

NCAA Tournament had only 24 teams participating. In those days Freshmen were not allowed to play. They had to sit out a year. USL team was so talented , they could have beaten teams in the top 25.
