well everybody around here is waiting on your opinion, so make sure you let us know when you see any aspect of the football team that lives up to your standards. I'm sure Hud would appreciate passing your approval on to the players.

I understand your position but my question to you was based on the fact that many good or even great defenses have an aspect of their defense that stands out or is slightly more dominant than other aspects of the D. Some play the run or pass particularly well or have premiere players at a certain position. I think most people here agree that the secondary has been particularly good so far, especially Bentley. i was just curious to know why you didn't think so.

I'm sorry, but I just can't explain it any other way than I have. I don't make assessments of individuals when playing a team sport and two games does not give me enough data to make an assessment of this team.

This post assumes that those not pleased with the defensive backs are crazy. I disagree. That's why I said "wrong."

So, you see, my response did connect with his question and your response. If you can't see that, too bad.
Whatever... wiseass... non-voters had nothing to do with the comment. Move along. You're just being a tool.

Very well, then if you don't like what I have to say, feel free to add me to your ignore list or just don't respond to my posts. In the meantime, how about showing a little more class than to stoop to name calling? You are supposedly a Cajun, as am I.

It's OK to say you like something.

For example: Stating you have a favorite restaurant, does not mean you hate all other restaurants.

Giving an Oscar to an actor in a movie, does not mean the other actors in the same movie were bad.

Saying you are happy with a certain aspect or performance does not mean you are bad mouthing the rest of the team.

I agree. It's also ok to be impartial and recognize that there's nothing you like about the team until such time as they show you something to like.

After 3 games, the DL seems most improved over last year and so far, is the best I've seen them play as a group in many, many years. They are aggressive and quick. Nice job. Also, the secondary is playing well and are getting some of the benefits of a good pass rush. Brett Baer is also having a very good year so far. He is punting well and is a weapon on field goals.
