    KICKOFFS.

Our inability to kickoff to the goal line on most kicks is KILLING this team in field position. It costs about 14-20 points in the first game and about 7 to 10 points this game.

Instead of 34-61, you're looking at 34-47 and instead of 20-12, it would have been about 27-7.

BIG difference, and it will cost us a game or 2 in conference...unless it is resolved.
I am glad I am not the only one banging this drum. If not resolved I think kickoffs will cost us 2 games minimum! Imagine the horror if we get a go ahead score with time left on the clock. We are all going to be puckering when our guy lines up kick.

On the plus side I do not think anyone thought our Defense would be so opportunistic. Creating turnovers covers up a lot of sins. It is not someting you can bank on, but some defenses develop an knack of being around the ball. Let hope this trend continues. BTW, I think this poll takes a good snapshot of where we are as a team right now.

OK. I'll explain it to you slowly. He observed by the percentages that votes were cast that did not include the DBs. Your lack of participation in the poll did not trigger the question. Therefore, your response had nothing to do with his question... nor my answer.

What if the question was "most pleased" ?

Have you watched at least a portion of either game played so far? I'm just curious to know how or why you haven't seen at least some aspect of the defense that has impressed you to some degree.

I did not need an explanation from you. You, however, appear to be in need of an explanation.

This post assumes that those not pleased with the defensive backs are crazy. I disagree. That's why I said "wrong."

So, you see, my response did connect with his question and your response. If you can't see that, too bad.

I have watched both games, the OK State game twice. I prefer to view the team as a whole, not on a per player or per unit basis. It would be unfair for me to give credit to one group on the team for winning just as much as it would be to blame another group for losing. Right now, I have a very small sample size to judge this team upon. I will wait until such time as I have enough data to decide if I am pleased or not with them.
