I don't think either QB earned a right to start. Both are struggling to move the offense. Both are making mistakes. Both look like they don't know what they are doing. Coach Hud, you have got to get this fixed.
yea they're both struggling. But it seems like this team isn't willing to play for Chris. I think they're more willing to play for Blaine. you could see that when Blaine came in. The offense had more energy to it. that's just my opinion though.

I think it's kinda funny how coach hud said the QB position is the least of his worries when that has been one of our biggest problems so far

I think Coach's biggest problem is kickoffs right now. QB battle might have been settled tonight: #17.

Some people won't admit that they were wrong. Gautier flat out moves this team down the field better than Masson does. Gautier's mistake today was caused by fighting for extra yards and the ball popping out after he already hit the ground. Masson, on the other hand, freaked out in the end zone and just threw the ball to no one for a safety.

Doesn't look like Blaine struggled, (2-2 passing, 5 carries for 40 yards) and had a bad call (fumble) that erased a potential TD. But I expected you to defend Masson after your comments from last week.... Stats didn't look so good ????????

I agree with his statements about the QB situation not being settled. Blaine had two drives from good field position and we got 3 points. Also, the ball was out before his knee hit.

With that being said, I think Blaine should get the nod, but our offense has been horrific both games.

It's tough to judge Blaine against Okie State. And tough to judge Masson the better passer in a torrential downpour without our best receiving threat. Both have thrown bad picks deep within our own territory. I don't think we are settled yet.

We won last night because of our defense. Neither QB can really claim a victory out of that game.

I totally agree with you, Slappy! The QB spot is still up for grabs, but I do give BG a slight edge. I think both are better than they have shown so far. Hopefully we'll see good games from both of them coming up!

Will Broadway or Haack fit into / run Hud's offense better than Blaine or Chris?

Tell ya what about the QB situation---Doesn't matter what we think or why --HUD and the coaches will make a much better decision than anybody on this board---the # of variables that go into every play and the critique by the coaches of the what, how, and whys will be so much more than we will ever know----the real good news is that we have 2 guys that are still considered by people on this board worthy of being the # one choice---Geaux Cajuns!!!!!

I am going to become a little more vocal on this site. I have been trying to keep my mouth shut because of the bias I may have, but s--t I've about had enough. Going into our last year (5) and I still say that we are missing one of the best leaders on the team and one that can run the offense very well. Look what he did 2 years ago At Arkansas State, down in foruth quarter and comes back to win game. Last year at Ohio, passed for 347 yards give or take to make the record books at UL. Opens up against Ole Miss and drives down the field for a score after he tore his right thumb up he continues to play getting killed by the Ole Miss defense.
I quess what I am saying is we have our best quarterback playing fullback...................crazy.
Ok now that I got that off my chest. Geaux Cajuns!!!!!

I thought he should've been the starter after Dez left. I like his leadership ability and his "cool under fire" attitude. I think that he unfortunately got caught in the cracks this year with the new staff. I sure hope he has enjoyed his time here at UL, even if the football side didn't always work out like he hoped it would. He seems like a great young man, and I certainly wish him all the best in his future after school!
