It will take Gautier everything he has to hold off Broadway. Not saying he can't, just will not be easy.

I love that these two posts are back-to-back, seemingly contradictory at first glance, and both totally true.

    Awesome job, Raginpagin.

You are out of your mind, nothing against Brady, but when you are the 4th string QB behind the 3rd string who is playing FB, you will not push broadway or gautier for the #2 spot. I appreciate the guys contribution, it's a team, takes everybody but get real dude. And we have 2 fairly highly recruited freshman coming in? In the words of berman, come on man

    Default Katy's Haack Enjoying Season

HOUSTON – The final numbers for Katy (Texas) High School quarterback Brooks Haack in Friday’s 45-0 win over District 19-5A foe Houston Memorial hardly jumped off the page.

23 TDs & 0 Ints. Now that's production. This guy sounds like a possible Drew Brees type in the future. How strong is his arm though?

He showed strong arm in camp, makes all the throws very well. He's very accurate, which accounts for his zero interceptions this season. He plays in multiple sets, under the center and in the spread. Very smart kid as well, he has been coached very well.

    Thanks CajunT. Good job Josh.

I can see now, we simply must make Houston a recruiting hot bed. . . . We need to keep Josh busy.

Adding to what CajunT said: I saw Haack play Friday. He has a strong arm, nice mobility and can make all the throws. Not a burner but has some athleticism, can avoid the rush, make plays with his legs and buy time to extend plays. His 40-yard TD pass required little effort on his part. Is a legit 6-1 and can still get bigger and stronger (weighs around 195). Coach Joseph said he's a leader and is very coachable. Seems like a great guy. Will only get better as he develops as a passer after mostly working out of an I-formation set until this season. Katy is the favorite going into the Class 5A Division II playoffs. Huge game on Nov. 5 in regular-season finale against Cinco Ranch to decide the District 19-5A championship.

Josh, what kind of attendance did Katy have at the game? I hear they are packing them in!

Katy traveled well to the game in Houston. Tully Stadium's seating capacity is 15,000, and it was hard to find any open spots on the Katy side. Very passionate and dedicated fan base. Memorial had a great crowd with it being homecoming.
