Interesting article FUN. Schools need to find a way to generate some funds. Having more students on campus would seem to be a way to do that. If the University could make a small profit on housing that is.

    "ATHLETIC

    UL Monroe: complimentary ticket policy."

Now ULM is giving tickets away? That is what they have to do to get people to Red Hawk games?

I thought the NCAA had limits on the number of free and discounted tickets a team could give out.

UL has a number of ways to generate more funding, with a little luck we could be at $20M in athletics in 2-3 years. But the recession and government keep working against us.

OTOH, the Lafayette unemployment rate right now is what it was in the rest of the US before the recession. We'll be OK.

    SYSTEM PRESIDENT
    Personnel Actions
UL System: revision to Board Rules, Chapter III. Faculty and Staff, Section XIII. Emeritus Titles.
UL System: revision to Board Rules, Chapter IV. Finance and Business, Section V. Student Fees, K. Self-Assessed Fees.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OK, so what exactly changed WRT the Chapter IV piece?

Also, regarding funding, do the "Louisiana" references refer to the UL System as a whole? How does this compare with the LSU System? Finally, I assume each school within the system has different tuition rates. Is that data available as well?

    Thanks.

I think this "average" is influenced by the the fact that LSU *FSF won't allow the UL System a top-25 system in the country (in overall size) to have medical or laws schools in the system.

Continuing ed is in the old Eckerd's building on Johnston Street. University owns a bunch of the older houses in the area between that building and Bisbano's Pizza.
