Hollier started for Memphis against Mississippi State and finished with one tackle in the loss.

Eugene (LSU) and Smith (McNeese State) were not listed in the participation reports of their respective schools.

Haven't heard anything "official" yet, but I know that Micah didn't make the trip to Dallas, so all signs point to him redshirting for LSU this year.

Nick Smith did make the trip for McNeese, but didn't appear in the game. As someone already mentioned, Bakari started for Memphis, which was pretty surprising to see.

If Micah Eugene is "grayshirting" that means he did not do well enough in summer school to become eligible. If he keeps working at it, he likely will be OK to earn a scholarship come spring. Many schools have
players in that situation.

The thing is you always have to answer "frogs fat" questions. Its not that closure will ever get you a frogs leg up on the competition, it's just that if you don't find the answer, it tends to keep twitching.

I can't believe LSU treated that kid that way. I thinkl it is very unfair of the LSU coaching staff to recruit a player that hard and then expect him to grey shirt. I'm surprised he didn't get ____ed off and go to McNeese. I guess LSU is now screwed when it comes to recruiting kids from Acadiana!!!
