In conjunction with Football Media Days, the Sun Belt Conference announced Monday its all-time conference football team which kicked off the league's year-long celebration commemorating the conference's 30th season of athletic competition.
Former Cajuns Brian Mitchell, Jake Delhomme and Brandon Stokley were a few former UL players named to the All-Time Sun Belt Conference Football Team.
The Sun Belt Conference had 15 NFL standouts and a 2005 NFL first round draft choice (Demarcus Ware, 11th overall selection by Dallas) among its 30 member all-time football team.
A 26-member media panel, comprised of two individuals who cover each current school, voted on the coach, an all-time player and the all-time top 30 players. Each of the 11 current and former Sun Belt Conference schools was eligible to nominate players, and the eight current schools were eligible to nominate anyone who played for the school regardless of era.
