Completed his career as a three-year letterwinner at center for Denham Springs HS. He also became a two-way starter for the Yellow Jackets during the second half of the 2005 season, also starting at defensive end.

TYLER ALBRECHT

Hit 12-of-16 field goals and 24-of-25 extra point attempts for St. Thomas More HS in their march to the Class 4A quarterfinals in 2005. He also handled kickoff duties for most of the season.

Doubling as a punter, finished the season with an average of just over 40 yards and averaged 50 yards per kick in STM's quarterfinal loss.

Joined STM following Hurricane Katrina after attending Holy Cross High School in New Orleans.

Had a pair of 50-yard field goals during the season.

FRED DAVIS

Only played one year of high school football. Attended Plantation High School as a freshman and sophomore, but did not play football. Transferred to Ely High School his junior year and played at EHS during his senior year.

In his only season of high school football, collected 76 tackles (45 solo stops), with two sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles.

Ely finished 9-2 and reached the third round of the Florida Class 5A playoffs.

MATT DESORMEAUX

Two-time All-District 6-3A selection, led Catholic-NI to a 9-1 regular season record and a 6-3A title as a senior in 2005.

Rushed for just under 700 yards and averaged 6.5 per carry as a senior.

Had rushed for 267 as a junior in earning an all-district honor.

Played defense at linebacker during his sophomore season.

Class 3A's state champion powerlifter in the 220-pound class last year with bests of 510 squat, 330 bench and 540 dead lift.

Was the first verbal commitment to this signing class.

Younger brother of current UL quarterback Michael Desormeaux.

RICHIE FALGOUT

Recorded over 40 catches in each of the last three years at Lafayette High Schoo.

Was an All-District 2-5A selection in 2005 with 46 catches for 612 yards and three scores in nine outings.

Had 41 catches for 660 yards as a sophomore and 48 grabs for 723 as a junior.

Earned All-District second-team honors in both his sophomore and junior seasons and moved to first team in 2004.

Was a two-time All-Parish pick.

GREG HATHORN

Was an All-State pick as a linebacker out of Louisville (Miss.) High School and originally signed with Mississippi Valley State. He wound up at East Central (Miss.) College where he played two years.

Was a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association's pre-season All-America team prior to the 2005 season.

2005 Mississippi Junior College All-State Defensive Lineman.

CHRIS JOHNSON

Three-year starter at defensive end for Fontainebleau High School and helped lead the squad of coach Larry Favre to the Class 5A state semifinals as a junior. He had 45 tackles, six sacks and three caused fumbles during that season.

Was a second-team pick on the All-District 4-5A team as a senior in the hurricane-shortened season for FHS, the state's largest school. The Bulldogs went 4-1 in the regular season.

Also participated in track and powerlifting for Fontainbleau, throwing the discus and finishing sixth in the state in his weight class in his first year of powerlifting last spring.

DAYLON McCOY

Will be making the switch from linebacker to strong safety next year.

150 tackles and two interceptions for a touchdown during his senior season

Texas 3A Defensive Player of the Year.

Two-time All-State and two-time All-East Texas.

As a senior, was the MVP of District 16-3A and was defensive MVP on the TexasHSFootball.com selections.

He was a key part of the Tatum High squad that claimed the Texas state Class 3A Division II title. Made key plays in each of his team's six playoff wins.

Ran sprints for the Tatum track team.
