The guys that we are getting commitments from are good players...the only player that I have seen so far that I was taken aback by was Verlin Moore but I trust the coaching staff.

I think Toren Dixon will end up here...he would be a great pull but I don't know where he will play which is always a good problem to have. He could add to the already deep talent we have at safety are be a big position reciever but will have to wait and see.
Hey Clutch, whats wrong with Verlin Moore? Check out the stats..>>>

Moore was a two-time All-State selection for Pompano High's Tornadoes, earning second-team honors in Class 2A in 2004 and stepping up to first-team selection this year. He finished a six-game hurricane-shortened senior season with 58 catches for 937 yards and 10 touchdowns.

He had 60 grabs for 1,008 yards and 12 scores as a junior in earning the first of two All-Broward County selections. The Miami Herald ranked him fifth among receivers in the Miami metro area.>>>

Hard to argue with the that... 58 catches and 936 yds in "6 GAMES"...

I thought this year we were going after QUALITY over quantity. Again, not to put down ANY of our commits (they might all turn out to be superior college players), it just seems strange we only have something like six 2 stars while others (even North Texas and Ark. Cant sweat the rivals stuff, my man...

Mid majors....gotta find those diamonds in the rough... That linebacker from FLA we got a commit from...only played 1 year.... Gotta take a chance on someone with his "POTENTIAL".....

It would be great to see 3 -4 stars across the board, its not necessary.

Nahh Zee... Ricky Dixon committed to LSU not Toren Dixon. Ricky Dixon is a WR from East St. John, Toren Dixon is a WR/Safety from Redemptorist.

It is very hard to argue with thoughs stats. His height wieght and speed comcern me. According to rivals he is 5'8 160 range and only runs a 4.65. Like I said though I trust the coaches and I hadn't seen the #'s you just showed and thats very impressive.

Also, some of those players don't have stars b/c they weren't even in the rivals prospect database until recently. I remember doing a search last week for Fred Davis, Rolle, and Daylon McCoy; none of their names even came up. These kids may have just been added and that could explain their no ranking. Either that, or rivals just really thinks these prospects aren't worth a single star.

I checked Rivals this morning and I'm pretty sure they had McCoy with 2 stars now. Seems there was some talk of a DL from Tatum that some said would be a nice grab along with McCoy. Scout.com had him listed as a Houston Cougar prospect; but I don't think he had committed as of yet. Hopefully there are a couple of steals left out there - - guys on the fringe of BCS schools lists.

The DT you are talking about is Isiah Thompson and it should some down to us and Houston for his services. I think it really helps us that we got his teammate Daylon McCoy signed.

I also thought I saw another DB on the Houston commit list from Tatum. Different school than McCoy and the DL?

Carson Blackmon is a corner/WR that committed to Houston...he is a teammate of theirs. The also have another corner that is being recruited but not heavily his name is Tederio Freeney. The must have had a loaded defensive backfield with Blackmon, McCoy and Freeney.

Wow! Must have been a tough squad to throw against.
