D’Anthony Smith, Pickering, DL — Smith has turned into a celebrity at Pickering High School as on any given day you can see coaches from all over the state coming to visit the 6-3, 310-pound defensive lineman. Smith has a long list of schools interested and his top seven have always been Tulane, Louisiana Tech, UL-Lafayette, ULM, Northwestern State, McNeese State and Grambling State. Just about all of them have offered full scholarships to the lineman. Smith has already visited ULM and Tech recently and will make his decision after his visit to Tulane in January.
“This whole process is a humbling experience for me,” Smith said. “It is a long and hard road to go through, but it will pay off for me in the end.”
Smith added that, “It will come down to the educational program and playing time on his decision on where to play college football next season.”
- Wes Tunnufi Sauvao, Leesville, DL — Savao has narrowed down his choices to ULM, Central Florida and Arkansas as his final three, but has received attention from New Mexico State, Utah State, NSU and ULL.
Sauvao, like everyone else said, “This is really frustrating. You have coaches stopping by and seeing you, but you don’t know which ones are really interested in you. I am going to decide which school is best for me and my family.”
Sauvao has qualified with an 18 on the ACT and has a 3.2 GPA.
Neither one sounds like they were interested all that much in UL as neither took a visit to UL. We hopefully are tooting the Practice Facility and are on as big(good) or BIGGER(better) players.

Here it is January 9th, just over 3 weeks from signing day and where is the excitement.....the commitments? Anybody have any info????
D'Anthony Williams, a HUGE D-tackle from Pickering, is set to visit Lafayette this weekend or next. He's 6'3'', 312 lbs of mostly muscle, with an 18 on the ACT and a 3.2 GPA. Originally thought to be headed to Tech, he's between La. Tech, UL, ULM and Tulane. He would be a great sign. Just thought I'd let ya'll know...Geaux Cajuns!
Thanks for the info! This would be a huge pickup for Bustle and company!

Well, it's good news that he's considering, but now we need to pull him away from the other guys. I think we can do it. Oh, and DaddyCajun, I went to Ole Miss, but I actually live out in Hawaii right now...so I'm a long distance fan!Originally Posted by DaddyCajun
Thanks for the update, but I believ the prospect you are refering to is D'Anthony Smith. I just looked him up on rivals. Apparently he is the same size you mentioned, but he also runs a 4.9 forty. He is a 2 star prospect that recorded 95 tackles with 10 sacks as a junior. I am looking for stats from his senoir season.
That's right...Smith. My bad, it's Tuesday and I still feel like it's Monday.Originally Posted by T-Col
