OFFERED A FULL RIDE TO CHSNI RUNNING BACK MATT DESORMEAUX, BROTHER TO PRESENT UL QB MIKE DESORMEAUX. I THINK IT WAS A VERY
WISE DECISION, MATT WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO THE PROGRAM.

I have seen mini-dez play also and I hope they put some weight on him and move him to defense because he has the heart to be on the field.

If we have offered Matt it's to play linebacker. Our focus this off season from what I have heard will be in the trenches at O and D line and also at linebacker.

Last year everyone we signed had at least 2 stars---I think we had 3-4 with 3 stars---I don't think Matt will have any but great bloodline, etc. I talked to Mike about him one time and he thinks he is damn good!!!

I met Matt at the ULM game in Monroe; and I liked the desire he had to come to ULL. He apparently had a couple of offers from other schools, but seemed really intent on teaming up with his brother again. I personally think Matt will bulk up and play somewhere on defense. Possibly Linebacker or Defensive End. For sure he has the Desormeaux blood lines with his father being a tight end at LSU and big brother being the back up to Babb. The Desormeaux's have a deep love for athletics and I know Matt will be a big boost to the Cajun football team. Best of Luck to Matt and the rest of the Gridiron Warriors.
