Thread: The Book: UL Football Recruiting 2006

Three guys that I would like to see UL go after from Lafayette would be...

QB - Michael McIver - Lafayette High - Great pocket passer...some people will say we have a lot of talent at QB but I think that every year you should recruit a QB because you never know what will happen
WR - Richie Falgout - Lafayette High - Good hands and Michael McIver's favorite target
LB - Trae Fitzgerald - Comeaux High - I have seen him play more than the others because I'm also a comeaux alum and he is a solid linebacker and has also played safety. From what I understand he is being recruited by Air Force which shows that he is a great student.

Athlon's College Football magazine lists the top high school seniors in the country. At Linebacker is Jacob Cutrera of Lafayette, LA (6'4", 225). Does anyone know about this kid? Why is he not more recognized locally?

He is recognized...but he has already verballed to LSU so you won't here that much about recruiting with him.

His broher plays QB for UL.

I'm thinking he was refering to Mitchell... If you are coming in from out of state, you fly into lafayette and anything near by is conisdered part of lafayette.

In Mitchell's case I have a feeling he will be playing pro baseball somewhere. He will probably be drafted high enough that he won't be able to turn down the type of money that will be thrown his way.

Jacob Cutrera LB of Acadiana High School they are interested in.

Saw this today in an article about the new ND guy.

Notre Dame needs a Tim Brown-type talent infusion, the reason Weis spent every day on the road from April 28 through May 27 — almost unheard of in coaching circles.

One day, Weis recounts, "I went from Houston, to Lafayette, Louisiana, to Oklahoma City, to Springdale, Arkansas, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania."

Because the local paper here is ~~~~, no coverage on anyone!!!........Jacob Cutrera is recognized more out of Lafayette than his own home town. I see this kid @ Red's and he is big time material. Jacob doesn't care about the fame & glory he just knocks your ~~~ off the football field.........USC, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, are still knocking real hard on the Cutrera's door. This kid is special, brother plays at UL.

    SLI 1921-1960 Re: Recruiting question

Just saw where another LA kid verballed to ucla - a DB from NO named Jeremy McGee. They've already got 5 guys from LA on their roster (alot for a school out here) and are in on more.

Could I have you guys do me a favor and have your staff chase those weenies out of your state? Thanks.
