GREG HATHORN

Was an All-State pick as a linebacker out of Louisville (Miss.) High School and originally signed with Mississippi Valley State. He wound up at East Central (Miss.) College where he played two years.

Was a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association's pre-season All-America team prior to the 2005 season.

2005 Mississippi Junior College All-State Defensive Lineman.

CHRIS JOHNSON

Three-year starter at defensive end for Fontainebleau High School and helped lead the squad of coach Larry Favre to the Class 5A state semifinals as a junior. He had 45 tackles, six sacks and three caused fumbles during that season.

Was a second-team pick on the All-District 4-5A team as a senior in the hurricane-shortened season for FHS, the state's largest school. The Bulldogs went 4-1 in the regular season.

Also participated in track and powerlifting for Fontainbleau, throwing the discus and finishing sixth in the state in his weight class in his first year of powerlifting last spring.

Will be making the switch from linebacker to strong safety next year.

150 tackles and two interceptions for a touchdown during his senior season

Texas 3A Defensive Player of the Year.

Two-time All-State and two-time All-East Texas.

As a senior, was the MVP of District 16-3A and was defensive MVP on the TexasHSFootball.com selections.

He was a key part of the Tatum High squad that claimed the Texas state Class 3A Division II title. Made key plays in each of his team's six playoff wins.

VERLIN MOORE

Two-time All-State selection for Pompano High's Tornadoes, earning second team honors in Class 2A in 2004 and stepping up to a first team selection following a stellar season in 2005.

Finished a six-game hurricane-shortened senior season with 58 catches for 937 yards and 10 touchdowns.

In his junior season he had 60 receptions for 1,008 yards and 12 scores earning him the first of what would become two All-Broward County selections.

Miami Herald ranked him fifth among receivers in the Miami metro area.

Four-year starter at PHS, he helped lead coach Vince Stephens' squad to the second round of the Class 2A playoffs each of the past two years.

He is also a starter for Pompano's basketball team and runs on the 4x100-meter relay team.
