I thought they were thinking about moving Pirtle to tackle because he is a better blocker than pass catcher, but maybe not. May have just been a rumor.

From what I've heard, they are going to move Pirtle to Tackle, along with a couple of other players they are going to shuffle around. Keith Talamo will me moving to devensive end, Chester Johnson will be moving to fullback along with Abdul Levier. By the way I want you guys to wrap your brains around this offensive line come september. RT-Cox RG-L. Coleman, or Tim Falter, C- Ramos, LG- Jesse Newman LT- Damian Jones, That my freind is a huge wall of man walking toward you if your a defensive lineman. And for those of you who were there, did you check out big Freddie Davis, man can he bring the pain, and with that speed, of course the only draw back is his knowlege of the game, which will be hard to get all in just one season after only playing one year of HS ball. Personally from what I've seen I think Fred can play some special teams for us his first year but, because of his lack of experience I think he'll be a two year project ( I hope he suprises me )

CajunFan64 I enjoy your excitment, but Jones and Harthorne have not graduated from JC.When they show on campus, then we can get excited. Right now they are not offically eligible.Pirtle moving to tackle is something they will look at in spring and Johnson has not been granted his extra year from the NCAA yet.

Here is a little info to start with....

    Blake Ramsey
    DT, 6'3", 280, Covington

"I caught up with defensive tackle Blake Ramsey, 6'3",280 from Covington who I have rated No. 27 on my top 100. I asked Ramsey what his true height and weight was and what schools he would like to take official visits to. Blake Ramsey told me his correct height was 6'3" and he weighs 280 pounds. The hard nose defensive tackle told me that he was hearing mostly from LSU , Indiana, Oklahoma State, VA Tech, Tulane and other state schools. Ramsey said he would like to visit LSU on an official visit but was not sure what other schools he would like to visit. Ramsey told me that he has a 2.6 GPA and would not say what he made on his ACT , but said he was going to retake the test soon."

    Some more info....

    Sharrick Moore

"FANTASTIC DEFENDER: SHARRICK MOORE -- TACKLE: Moore has been a stalwart on the Patriots' defense.

This year he could spend time pulling double duty on the offensive line.

The highlight of his season was a 97-yard fumble return last year against Newsome.

Moore is also the son of South Florida defensive line coach Earl Lane."
