Jamarr Thompson has apparently signed with LA Tech according to the BB&B website.

That's really disappointing, but not entirely unexpected. He never seemed to have really committed to us. Those type of guys, especially when they are from out of the local area, often seem to end up at another school. But not always. Occasionally they do end up sticking with us. This one reminds me of the kid from the Dallas area who looked to be signing with us and ended up at North Texas. He became an All Conference player for the Mean Green (dang it!). It sure would have been nice to have big Jamarr with the Cajuns. Oh, well! We seem to be getting almost all of the other guys who committed to us so far. Keep up the good work Coach Bustle and staff!

I understand there will be "several" big announcements at the recruiting bash. I know the coaches are extremely excited about this years class. It should be an eventfull evening............

Just a question, what happened to the Convention Center at the Cajundome? I went to it last year and I thought it was nice there.

Here is a good assignment for you. The Cajundome(exhibition hall) is charging our athletic department an arm and a leg to hold it there. I called and talked to Coach Troy Wingerter to let him know how much traffic there was gonna be at 5pm on Pinhook, talked about entrances and exits( 1 ), and parking. It seems, they went the Hotel Acadiana route to save money.

It is a shame the Cajundome people wanted $6000 to hold it there. We need to have sponsors in order to cover these cost and have it once again at the Cajundome or get the cajundome to lower its prices. It is rediculous to charge us these prices.
