ULA Cap Idea

I dont care for fitted either, I would probably get something adjustable. You can actually go in to the picture and make adjustments yourself, pretty neat. White is pretty standard for those types of caps, the Navy also looked pretty good as well. But since our colors are Vermilion White and black, I tried to stay with that, and black just looked terrible!

Black is not one of our colors vermilion and white are. As for the hat not too bad, color the hair in the pic blonde and it looks like snote's mullet.

I don't like white hats either......I like Red/Vermillion!!

I went and played with the design a little...hope the link works. It's the same basic concept except I added an extra bar to separate ULA from Ragin' Cajuns and changed the color. Also made 1900 on the back a smaller font.

We need to start our own line of Louisiana, UL / ULA Hats and Shirts as fans, since the Admin. keeps going with Lafayette on them. Maybe they are waiting on us to do this. UL Can't get in trouble if they didn't create them.

I think they will sell well!

Alright, I do not want to be the sour apple but, I personally do NOT like ULA. We are getting TOO wishy washy here. If we are to put something else out there it needs to be through the UNIVERSITY'S EYES. Our name has changed several times in our 100 plus years and that in itself has led to an indenity problem. By creating something other than UL is a potential mistake. "ULM started off with ULM and some of their fan base now want UL others want back to NLU". We at Louisiana have wanted UL for years and now we have some wanting hats for ULA???? I know everyone is trying to get rid of the Lafayette, but WE have to do that in a "nice" manner and a productive manner(academics and athletics)!!!! I like your thought processes I just would not want to confuse even more the "NAME CHANGE ISSUE"!!!

Agreed. I just wish the administration was doing more to promote the University through merchandizing. Although I have to admit, they are doing a better job than they have in the past. However, I can still find more LSU ~~~~ in town than I can Cajun gear.

Daddy, it personally took me a while to be able the ULA thing as well, in fact I am still not all about it. The way I see it, however, UL apparently causes too much confusion and with Funroe being in our conference now we are at a never ending battle. I dont believe we will ever be able to get UL put up on the TV screen or written in publications, either becuase of Louisville or Funroe and I dont even need to say the disgust if causes the rest of us to see...well you know! Also, ULA is not destroying the use of UL by the rest of us, but merely seperating us from the other alternative. Again, I personally prefer and still use the term UL, but I would rather be UL and have inintials of ULA as opposed to UL(you know what).

Did NOT say the Hats did NOT lood good, just that we as The University and Alumni/fans need to decide on something like UL or ULA!!

The University(Dr A) and staff may have something in the works right now and we as Alumni and Fans need not confuse the issue even more!!

ULA is certainly a nice take on UGA but it is NOT AN OFFICIAL useage of the UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA!!!

UGA is for University of Georgia at Athens....I think.
