Thread: ULA Cap Idea

  1. #1

    Default ULA Cap Idea

I have an idea for a cap, but before i pursue trying to get them made I was wondering the # of people that would be interested in the cap. I dont know if I would be able to make them due to trademark issues, but I sure as heck can try! I am not looking to make any money off of these and prefer just to get them out. Here is what the design looks like, http://customink.com/cink/r.jsp?E=jm...om&F=cajunhat1

Pretty simple, but IMO better than anything I can find anywhere.

I like it, hey while you are at it why not make one for every sport? I want one with a basketball on the back.

Looks good. I would like one as well, but I don't really care for the white cap. White get dirty too quickly. Maybe a tan cap, and an adjustable back instead of a fitted back. Just suggestions.

I dont care for fitted either, I would probably get something adjustable. You can actually go in to the picture and make adjustments yourself, pretty neat. White is pretty standard for those types of caps, the Navy also looked pretty good as well. But since our colors are Vermilion White and black, I tried to stay with that, and black just looked terrible!

By the way, if I were to order it through that site, the costs would be somewhere from $15-$21 per cap for an order of 50. If I think enough people would be interested, I will set up a poll with the different designs and hat types to get a feel for which hat people prefer. Also, if I find interest to be good enough to pursue this, I may try and get some quotes from a local company and if I am not mistaken, there are a few that read these boards that might be able to do something like this.
BTW, just for giggles, here is another variation of the design. http://customink.com/cink/r.jsp?E=jm...om&F=cajunhat2

Cool site. I just got on and designed one of my own, but since I am not technologically savy I did not know how to create a link for other to view. What I designed was the same front lettering on a white background, but with black on the bill and the surrounding panels. It really makes the desing stand out. Check it out when you get a chance and let me know what you think.

At the bottom, where it says save image, send it to your email. In your email, it will give you the link to your design. Highlight your link, right click, copy. GO to the thread, right click, paste. YOu will be able to set up the link!

    I don't like white hats either......I like Red/Vermillion!!

I went and played with the design a little...hope the link works. It's the same basic concept except I added an extra bar to separate ULA from Ragin' Cajuns and changed the color. Also made 1900 on the back a smaller font.

I prefer fitted hats as well. I'm opposite of you, in that I have to put it on the first 3-4 holes....tell me that doesn't look silly.....looks like a little kid wearing a hat that is too big for him. (6 7/8)
