Would surely help our home game attendance....

Expose their weakness and counter attack with his abilities. Usually for this to happen, it requires 20 plus carries in one given game. This is why most running backs who are the featured back in a system really become dominate in the later quarters of the game. This is when you see the long gains of 20 yards or greater. Absent an offensive line that is 5 stars across the board, and an offense that doesn't use wideouts....I seriously doubt if you will ever see 3 or more running backs sharing time garnish that many rushing yards...you gotta figure, the average 1000+ yard rusher carries the ball a least 200+ times in a 12 game season...requires at least 15-20 touches a game. Using "reasonable" logic...If we had 3 RB's that rushed for 500+ yards each in a season...a featured RB would probably rush for 2000 yards in that same system! IMO

It's a nice article about football statistics...
Very good analysis, that's exactly why you see the better backs get that yardage in the 4rth quarter, particulary when you have the lead. They are superior fotball players. HELLO OM, we don't have 5 good tailbacks & I don't think Coach Bustle would say that in a private statement. Under your assumption, we have 5 mediocre backs.

according to you guys we have mediocre players less 5 backs who can run the ball and with all that hopla and stats ~~~~, and for all you smart people who say we don't have backs that shows your true color, another thing coach bustle is not in this conversation and if he were he would tell you with a experience offensive line you can make a medioce back look good and a good back look great, so take all that junk and bring it somewhere else, herein lies the problem i'm a true cajun fan and you all are just ......fans

Wha....? Hey, you're getting it all over yourself. You're not making any sense at all, except for your O-line statement. However, I saw one preseason all-conference team that had 3 Cajun O-lineman as first team. Respond? At this time, our backs are still mediocre until someone steps up. I don't think Coach Bustle would disagree. As for being a fan, I've not missed a road game in the past 2 years & only 3 home games (which are road games for me).

Sweet analysis. I agree 100%. I wish one back would distance themselves early on in the season. Anyway, I just bought a house in the saint streets. Should prove good for being able to walk to the game and observe how this situation unfolds. School is about to kick back up...back to the SULC. Are you taking Fed J in the fall?

Ok so we don't have 5 backs that can do the job...Chester Johnson, Dwight Lindon, Deon Wallace, Tyrell Fenroy, Celeb Rubin, Harrison, Jason Cherry, Booker Jenkins, Abdule Levier. HMMMM...thats 9 RB's that are all capable of taking a starting job here and unless one of them distances themselves from the rest I don't see just one of them getting all the carries. I don't think any of these guys would be considered mediocre.

9? That's an awful lot of depth at one position, although I guess 3 of them are considered fullbacks. The point I'm trying to make is that's a lot of players needed to fill one position, when other positions are suffering from a lack of quality depth. 3 or 4, barring a rash of injuries, should be sufficient. That's one reason why I think a clear cut starter needs to step up.
